3 Ways To Add Coziness To Your Home For The Winter Season

What on earth is with the rain today??

In case you missed it, I think the rainy season is back in the PNW!

As the seasons slowly begin to change, I find myself ready for a change in home decor. My minimalist tendencies of the summer soften and I find myself adding candles, chunky throws, and touches of coziness to our home.

1) A Basket Filled With Blankets

As most of you probably know by now, I am a sucker for a textured basket anytime of the year. It adds visual interest and a great place to store things you use often without adding clutter.

During the winter season I find myself reaching for a cozy blanket in the evenings. One of my baskets always gets emptied for the winter and blankets are immediately added! Need a suggestion for a great blanket? I'm loving this blanket this year!

2) Candles

I'll be the first to admit, I am VERY picky about candles. I love the cozy flicker of the flame, but if the smell is too overpowering I just can't do it.

I have recently started purchasing candles from a local small business, Yo Soy Candle. The smells are light, but still fill my home with the perfect amount of scent. I love I am worthy and I am connected!

3) A Coffee/Hot Cocoa Bar

As the weather gets colder I find myself reaching for warm drinks in the evening hours. My favorites? Decaf coffee with a little drizzle of caramel, hot chocolate with a splash of mint, or apple cider! Add your favorite warm drinks, cozy mugs, and fun toppings to make your drink bar a hit all winter long!

Don't forget your coffee table needs a little cozy touch too! I add coffee table books with burgundy, mustard, and brown tones. Warm tones and a new book to read - win, win!
